"Let's see where this goes and have some fun along the way"

If you’ve ever met David Welsh, you’d probably pick up on his playful nature immediately. And that was how this all got started. Like many current/former software engineers, the idea of taking a few days to build a project or two for the fun of it when work is slow is more of a natural tendency than anything. He’d recently found himself leaving a job that had been a challenge to work at because of his ASD. It quickly became apparent to him that there wasn’t really a centralized list of resources of professionals like him who are on the Autism Spectrum, and that he was likely not the only one searching for these. Being the person he is, he decided to take this into his own hands, and created “The Autistic Professional’s Guide”.

Working with Tom O’Toole, he also began work on the yupfeed, a resource for young adults to find the tips and tricks for things such as food, finance, and fitness without being bogged down by stories that were written for the sake of increasing an SEO Score.

After the launch of the yupfeed, it became apparent to both that there was the need to create an entity through which the projects, amongst others, could be governed. Taking inspiration from their old nickname for each other, they founded Three Pines Ventures with the goal of building products that could improve the lives of others.
